About Guido

Biologist, spirit of 1975. Grown-up in Milan, Italy. Extensive traveller to East and central Africa, where he lived for two years.

Guido Trivellini talks about the platitude of the natural world and underlines the multiform greatness of this normality. Reality should be read through its details, through a light, an object or a character useless to others but fundamental in that story.
History itself is nothing more than a succession of millions of contemporaneous and unrelated events whose importance depends only on who experiences them. While in Paris, in 1947, the end of the second world war was being signed, a fish was probably caught in the waters of the Congo basin, this being an event of far greater relevance than the first one both for the fish and the fisherman, but not for the rest of the world. Details depict millions of realities which do not cross other worlds.
Humans or animals are not protagonists, nor will they do small objects, alone. They are all united by having a random role in an unexpected event. A door opens, a light enters preceding the man who opened the door, and it draws a floor.
Fumes, darkness, and mists isolate and protect what they hug from the comparison  more important lives, sometimes betrayed by a small light or a single presence, hiding things in separate niches, once again underlining the subjective importance of life.
